Welcome the Sun.
Respect the source.
Heal from its rays.
Surya namaskar or sun salutation is a complete sadhana/practice, including asana/pose, pranayam/breath, mantra/word and meditation techniques. Combines form, energy, and rhythm. Ideal time to practice is sunrise. Sunset is good too but really anytime works fine. Empty stomach is best with a goal of 12 rounds.
Preparation:
Bring awareness to the whole body, starting from your head, working down to your toes. Relax and release tension from each part. Then bring attention to your eyebrows and imagine facing the brilliant beams from the rising sun. Flow in with smooth movements, dancing for the one and only, sun.
