Screw the iphone, ipad, and idevices that are built for 24 month lifecycles and quarterly revenues. Kids these days, don’t even expect electronics to last much longer, sad. I’m done with getting the new 4.x phone with the added icam, or charging it forever, because my battery is dead, and I can’t replace it. Slipping out of my hand, and shattering the screen. Or losing all my music, because my ipod turned off for good 30 days after my warranty expired.
I want Pranav Mistry’s sixth sense. Wanted it since he shared it at TED. If its not out there already, I want to make one.
Pranav, where is that open source you promised?
I can’t find it on your website. Send it fast, man.
Watching ppl switch to machine-mode is hilarious.
Buzz!
Ears pop up, frequency alert
Pause live-action and detect device
Bulging eyes aligned to LCD pixels.
Ears turn off, face tunes in
Emergency on planet earth.
Fingers tapping, thumbs sliding
Action packed, on a mission
Check. Send. Save. Key lock.
Resume live-action!
Re-align attention to live-action organism
Recall context, recall conversation
Emergency on planet earth sorted
Back to the real, not so important, world.
Sixth sense looks like it will be just that. An addition to your senses, so we don’t need to be machines to use machines. Pranav is the man, for thinking forward and joining the open source revolution.
Open Source Everyday
I use my open source Firefox, and open source WordPress, on my mac operating system running on open source Linux. Everyday.
I’m excited for a future of open source everything. Lets get going ppl.
