Reading the meter at 10 rupees used to mean dishing out 1 less, now its 1 more.
Plus the 6.50INR on subsequent kms has left ricwallas with more reasons to have less change and commuters a bit more confused. Unless you got yourself a fancy Iphone with the fancier fare app OR your very own fare chart (from any of the stations) OR an abacus AUR quick brain!
Last week from Bandra station, I thought I was hopping into just another ric till Deepak the ricwalla swept me off my feet. He opened up his monsoon side flapper (which usually gets me more wet then dry) and welcomed me into auto awesome!
I sat on his dry seats with a choice of newspapers, Doordarshan playing on his little tv, could charge my cellular, some water, fare charts pasted on the sides for reference AND a list of emergency numbers…you know, just incase of an emergency.
WOW.
